OUR STORY
The story of Hive Weddings & Events began the same way many meaningful journeys do: with a little risk, a lot of heart, and a touch of serendipity.
After a few years of hosting guests in their very first vacation rental under The Hive Homes, Eric and Andrea Braciska discovered something they loved even more than hospitality itself: creating spaces where people could truly connect. In 2015, they purchased what would become the second Hive property, a beautiful Maine home designed for gathering, celebrating, and making memories. The beautiful 20 person Maine home was loved by numerous guest groups across its first year, so loved that after a stay in the home a guest asked Eric and Andrea "Would you ever host weddings here?"
At the time, Eric and Andrea had never considered it. But the idea perfectly matched what Hive had always been about; bringing people together in warm, inviting spaces that feel like home. Since their first wedding in 2016, The Hive Weddings & Events has grown into a family-owned wedding venue service specializing in intimate, non-traditional weddings across unique rental properties throughout Maine.
Over the years, Hive properties have welcomed more than 1,500 guest groups and hosted 250+ weddings and events, each one completely unique to the couple celebrating there.
What has never changed is the heart behind it all. Eric and Andrea still personally manage and operate the properties, working closely with couples to create relaxed, meaningful celebrations that feel authentic, personal, and unforgettable. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement, a weekend wedding with your closest people, or a non-traditional celebration that breaks the mold, Hive is designed to give you the freedom to make it your own.

the hive team has remained the same since the purchase of their first property. eric and andrea, a husband and wife team (assisted by their dog hunter,) oversee nearly all of the day-to-day OPERATIONS of all 4 of the hive properties. while it has taken no less than a village over the years, finding Remarkable Log Home, Lakefront, & Farmhouse properties is the passion behind the hive and bringing that experience to you is their biggest joy.
They are the ones responding to all your needs throughout your stay and handling the day to day operations and upkeep across all 4 properties in maine.
